Oxwick

Please use you firepit for barbecues and warmth.  Our comfortable communal area with games, books and local information, also has access induction hobs, kettles, microwave, fridge and freezer.  We will supply a basic range of cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery.   

We have a beautiful toilet block, complete with compost toilet, hot shower, wash basin and sink.

All our bell tents are 5m in diameter.  This fits our super-kingsize beds or twins comfortably, and there is an option to add other put-up beds.  

Our custom made hotel quality, pocket sprung mattresses will be fully made up with high quality bed linen (pillow cases, duvet covers and bed sheets).  We will also supply bath towels and hand towels.

None of our belle tents have power, please enjoy the completely off grid experience!  There is power in the communal area for charging batteries and we will supply rechargeable lanterns for your stay.  It may be advisable to bring a torch as well.

There is no heating in the tents, but please enjoy your firepits.   For safety, please do not light fires anywhere else. Please do not light or use gas stoves, firepits, candles, or incense sticks.  And, in respect for the next occupants please do not smoke in the tents.  

Our tents are all secure if you would like to bring a small padlock with you.  As we are a family premises, there is almost always someone on site.  

We ask that the washing up is done and all rubbish bagged and taken to the rubbish area. If you take more than one tent, please ensure that any items that have migrated from one tent to another make their way back again.

There is not a shop on site although we can provide local produce meal hampers on request. Please ask. Alternatively, there are independent butchers, bakers (the reknown Hobbs House Bakery) and grocers in Chipping Sodbury, as well as supermarkets in Yate and Chipping Sodbury.

There is no wifi on site, and 4g is patchy. Their are a number of places in the closest towns, Chipping Sodbury and Yate (5 minute drive), where you can access the web in exchange for a cup of coffee.

We are a remote site with no neighbours close by, however, if the wind is in the wrong direction the main Wickwar Road (B4060) can be heard.

Our  check-out time is 10.30, and check-in is after 4pm.  If you believe you will be later than 7pm, please let us know.

We have a dedicated car park for all vehicles.  We do not allow cars on the campsite.

Public transport is not available directly to our site.  However, there is a Yate railway station 4.5 miles away, and buses run to both Yate, and Chipping Sodbury (2.5 miles).

Although we love our pets, in respect for our sheep and our neighbours livestock, as well as for hygiene reasons, we do not allow pets,

Cancellations made more than 30 days before the holiday start date will be subject to a 30% cancellation fee, equal to your non-refundable deposit paid.

Cancellations made within 30 days of the holiday start date will not be refunded.

We suggest you take out the necessary holiday insurance to cover any losses.
